Bujar Hoxha is a senior country leader with 20 years’ experience designing and managing multi-faceted humanitarian and development programs in Middle East and Western Balkans. Mr. Hoxha has successfully led and pioneered country programs showing innovation and creativity to expand on scale and response. Currently serving as CARE Country Director for Lebanon. Prior to that he was Deputy Syria Regional Response Director based in Amman, Deputy Country Director of Turkey, Director of Programme Operations in Egypt and Iraq, Country Representative for Chemonics, Deputy Director of USAID/DEMI contract, and Country Director for CARE International’s country portfolio in Kosovo, Macedonia and Albania. Expertise in the area of institutional development, conflict management, local solutions/partnerships approach, complex setting, ability to problem solving and work on both emergency and development settings-make are some of his areas. He is also intrigued in contributing to the aid architecture and the future shape of humanitarian aid organizations. Bujar holds MA in International Relations at Tufts Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
